Will o’ wisp dances in forest dark and deep

Follow, weary traveller, to where you can find sleep

I will lead you surely, just watch my guiding light

Just a little further, keep my flame in sight.

Don’t regard the mud that now is underneath your feet

A cosy bed awaits you, soft and warm and sweet

Disregard the water rising up about your waist

A warming supper waits for you, hot and fresh to taste

Come follow me, traveller, you’re nearly home and free

The will o’ wisp dances above the mire in glee

Rest now, weary traveller, for all eternity

You never should have listened when I said come follow me.
