The moon is a silver platter
Huge in the diamond-filled sky
In my boat, on my lake
I bask in this wonder
And sup on the heady night air
Wrapped in the safety of solitude and darkness
Cradled gently on the undulating waters
Slowly I fade
Sinking to commune with the depths below light
Rise to bathe in moonshine and starshine
Treasure the lightwater road
I am the lapping of the water
I am the rippling pattern of the water
I am the moon’s image shining up from the water
I am at peace with the water beneath and the light above
We are one.
