Starlings murmurate against the sun
A thousand birds moving as one
Patterns that end as soon as begun
Butterflies spread wings to fly
Dance for a day, flourish and die
A lifetime lived in the blink of an eye
Sun comes up since the dawn of time
Always the same but always sublime
Colours of light that are truly divine
Bluebells carpet the forest in blue
Explode with colour a month or two
Then sleep through the winter before they renew
Wabi, a quiet and simple prayer
Sabi, the beauty that comes with wear
A life of beautiful moments to share
(Wabi-sabi: appreciating beauty that is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete, in nature. Acceptance of the cycle of life and death.)
