turning out the lights

poverty and injustice

pollution and destruction

Business as usual or even worse

making up for lost time

 

Listen to the silence

revel in the peace

Pray for our safety

and pray too

that we learn to change

learn to do better

learn some sanity

 

We can’t go on like this

Because there is no peace quite like

the peace of the dead
