The world croons and calls
Dances and mesmerizes
So sweet, so very alluring
Do what thou wilt, taste forbidden fruit
Be yourself, know yourself, discover yourself
Self, self, self …
But this is mere delusion
And focused within, we find only darkness
We need to lift our eyes outwards and upwards
And there is the holy, there is the eternal
There is the absolute truth of the Living God
So wake up and stand, in the dawning of honest day
And follow the Saviour
To the true delights of our redemption.

I LIKE this! Like it seems to me: All too often we are still the centre of our own little world. When we certainly know who SHOULD be the centre!
