Faint light appears in the east
A baby day calls its infant greeting
In beams of light lending colour to the world
At night all is grey and blue and black
But now the earth too wakes up
With green and brown of leaf and bark and blade
Green too, in the water, reflecting blue
That overhead harbours white fluffiness
And back in the east
Red and gold, orange and white
Clash together in maturing light
Creation rises
Rainbow petals yawn and stretch
Rainbow feathers ruffle, as their owners sing good morning
To a new day.
