Walking on the beach when the sun has set
The soft sigh of waves rolling in
Water laps at my feet and recedes
Tinted gold under the rising moon
One by one the stars appear
Their light obliterated by the closest star of all
But now as we turn our backs to the sun
Their silvery brilliance shines again
How I wish I could fly
And soar over the waves
Dancing in the beauty of the night
How I wish I could swim
And cavort like a dolphin
Among the singing waves
How I wish I could be one
With the night and the moon and the water
I walk along the sand
Taste and smell the brine
Listen to the song of the ocean
Bask in the gold of the moon
