Fresh clear stream clambers over rocks
And giggles its way through the forest glade
Wildflowers explode in a rainbow of colour
There’s no one here but me
And the stream, and the infinite sky
The forest in all the shades of green
Surrounding my solitude
It is easy to feel lonely
In the noise and the crowd
So many people and no one connecting
But in solitary bliss
I connect at last
To the silent peace
To that which is more vital
Than a million empty words
I want to laugh with the waters
Sing with the birds
Run with the rabbits and deer
Through the maze of trees
I want to catch the wind and fly
Into that infinite sky
And worship my Creator
With heart and soul
