We never pay attention

to the negative spaces

the gaps between things that form the backdrop

to all we hold dear

We go from one experience to the next

and don’t stop to examine the bits in between

I wonder how much we miss

because negative space is context

So if we look

If we really focus

We can see the whole picture

and discover

a truly wonderful world

new dimension, new being

I wonder, if we look

we can find understanding

I wonder if observation

can engender enlightenment
